Riding the Cape - NEWS
Dear Friends of Riding The Cape (Der Kap Ritt). For over 10 years I have been organising amazing safari rides through the Cape Provinces whereby I have, as opportunities arose over the years, improved on the quality of the horses as well as the accommodation used. Ardent travellers have repeatedly confirmed, how unique the landscape of the Cape is. I have changed some of the trails over the years, in order to view the variety of the landscapes that are close to Cape Town in as few days as possible and today the GRAND WESTERN HORSE SAFARI finishes with a Big Five Game Safari in an open land-cruiser. Judging by the references I received in the last two years (amongst others from the travel journalist Sven Lorenz) I think that these Horse Safaris have in all respects reached a standard, which will be difficult to improve upon. Last year I came up with the idea of OFF THE BEATEN TRACK TOURS for non-riders run on the same philosophy as the riding safaris. I based these new tours on the experience that I gained over the years,  utilising my vast knowledge of the Cape and using my new off-road vehicle. After spending much time out in the field researching, I have now finalised two new tours, which would enable your non-riding family and friends to experience the real South Africa, far beyond the usual tourist hot-spots. I hope to impart similar experiences on these non-riding tours as you possibly had on your Horse Safari trail with me.
